Traffic Education Center TopSafety driving training for companies and organizations Custom-made plan

Custom Plan

Training that takes time and cost is not an end in itself.
Our specialized staff will work with you to consider how to achieve results with limited resources, and we will develop each company's original training program by cross-referencing our accumulated achievements and internal data while conducting interviews.

What is a Driving Habit Check?

The "Driving Habit Check Program" utilizing the unique driving evaluation system (HDSP※1) developed by Honda and the Suzuka Circuit Traffic Education Center
※1 HDSP: HONDA DRIVING STYLE PROPOSAL SYSTEM

Features of the Driving Evaluation System (HDSP)
  1. Comparison of the driver's own "self-assessment" and the "objective assessment" from the evaluation system using data.
  2. Clarification of the existence and magnitude of the "differences in perception" identified from the comparative results and overall analysis.
  3. Clarification of future challenges and necessary initiatives, as well as the ability to analyze their effectiveness.

Effects of the 'Driving Habit Check'
  1. Current Status Understanding You can see the positioning of an individual driver, as well as the positioning of the departments and business locations they participated in.
  2. Setting Objectives You can clarify the level you aim for and connect it to the education and environment you create towards that goal.
  3. Educational Effectiveness Verification Regular measurements allow us to confirm daily achievements and identify new challenges.
  • If "rear-end collisions are not decreasing"

Common comments seen in traffic accident reports are, "I was maintaining a safe distance but still got rear-ended." "I was lost in thought and got rear-ended." "I was stopped and got rear-ended."
What may have been a "sufficient distance between vehicles" for the parties involved is often unclear as a guideline.
Additionally, we cannot afford to overlook distractions or the possibility of being rear-ended. Why, how, therefore, who, what, how, and what to do. By considering the theory based on the data recorded during practical training, you will derive useful specific numbers and actions.

  • If "contact accidents do not decrease"

Many companies face this problem. Some companies even give up on repairing each time, but small accidents can eventually develop into irreparable major accidents. Before that happens, we will encourage each employee to have a "mindset that does not overlook small mistakes" by considering aspects such as attentiveness, consideration, and the omission of actions that emerge from practical training. Not only will they learn vehicle awareness and driving operations in tight spaces, but they will also enhance their safety mindset regarding "where to pay attention now" and "what safe driving in tight spaces means."

  • If a specific person keeps having accidents

This is a very troubling case, but allowing driving to continue while knowing that it will "repeat" cannot be overlooked as a corporate social responsibility.
It is necessary to objectively evaluate whether "my driving is safe" through one-on-one training or small group training, and to identify the causes and countermeasures for repeated issues. There are also cases where diseases that lead to accidents are discovered through training.

If the training is not effective...

It was good right after the training, but the reality is that I sometimes hear stories like, "Before I knew it, I had reverted back." Even if the individual is motivated, if the surrounding environment undermines that motivation, the time and cost invested in the training will be wasted. It is essential to create people who can be allies for the individual on-site. This is where internal leaders within the company become necessary. I also recommend training not only management but also senior colleagues as leaders.
