A prestigious introductory race series
The traditional participatory race at SUZUKA CIRCUIT, now held under a new name starting from the 2025 season, is the "SUZUKA CHAMPION CUP RACE." Its origins trace back to the "Suzuka Silver Cup" series in 1968, followed by the "Suzuka Freshman Trophy" in 1988, and the "Clubman Race" series starting in 1996, weaving a history of over 50 years. Throughout this long history, many competitions and renowned drivers have emerged from here at SUZUKA.
Some of the race categories that make up the "SUZUKA CHAMPION CUP RACE" include race series that also compete at other circuits, but the main categories will compete for the series championship here at SUZUKA CIRCUIT.
One of the attractions of the "SUZUKA CHAMPION CUP RACE" is the variety of categories held, including the entry-level category "Super FJ," the new vehicle introduced in 2015 called "Formula Enjoy," the "FIT1.5 Challenge Cup" where competitors showcase their skills using FIT, and the appealing lightweight and compact body and engine categories like "VITA" and "v.Granz."
In all categories, many drivers participate, making it easy to obtain race information and maintenance information. This race series is very accessible not only for young drivers aiming to become future top drivers but also for "weekend racers."
