A prestigious introductory race series
If you are thinking, "I want to race!", then the races held at this SUZUKA CIRCUIT Clubman are highly recommended. The name Clubman Race itself has been around since 1995, but its roots trace back to the Silver Cup Series that started in 1968, making it a racing series at SUZUKA CIRCUIT with a history of over 50 years. Satoru Nakajima, Japan's first full-time F1 driver, also made his racing debut in the Silver Cup in 1973, and many drivers from the Chubu and Kinki regions can be considered alumni of the Clubman Race.
The current Clubman Race includes a series that also competes at other circuits, but it is primarily composed of races held at SUZUKA CIRCUIT. The low travel expenses are a great help for beginners in racing, and this is one of the reasons why the Clubman is recommended for beginners.
The "Super-FJ" category, which is a gateway to Formula racing, the "Formula Enjoy" with new vehicles introduced in 2015, and the "FIT 1.5 Challenge Cup" that competes using FIT are just a few of the diverse events held. All of these attract many participants, making information and vehicles easily accessible, making it a series that is easy to join not only for young drivers aiming to become top drivers in the future but also for "weekend racers."
